Columns and Caves,Paradise Bay

Everywhere in Antarctica there were caves and tunnels and openings in the ice. I wished that we could drive the zodiac right into the heart of the ice but the danger is far too great due to the instability of the ice. This particular formation really made me think of a gothic cathedral with its soaring columns; there was the same resonance, the same sense of the human spirit taking flight.
